Maguerico Manuel Nye (Rico for short) is from artist from Charlotte, North Carolina.

Rico's diverse background has an impact on his bold and vivid art style. His subject range from fauna, portraits, and mystical beings in oil or acrylic paints.

Rico showed an remarkable aptitude for art at a young age. He notes his father as the inspiration behind his passion for art. Rico remembers his father placing a grocery bag in front of him and instructed him to draw the character on the bag. When Rico finished, he's father told to keep drawing and never stop. Since that day, Rico has not stopped drawing.

Rico currently maintains his studio in his hometown Charlotte, North Carolina.
